Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Process Kit & Calibration Technician to monitor and improve manufacturing equipment.

You will work closely with shift operations, equipment engineers, and vendors to enhance performance, reliability, and uptime in a fast-paced semiconductor setting. The role requires a technical background with experience in preventive maintenance, electronics, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Robotics, or 2 years of related experience.
• 2 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (3/4 schedule then 4/3 schedule) and adapt to shift changes/overtime.
• 2 years of preventive maintenance and repair of industrial machinery to minimize downtime.
• 2 years of experience using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to fix manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve equipment performance, reliability, and uptime.
• Identify and fix electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software-related issues using schematics and documentation.
• Disassemble, repair, rebuild, calibrate, and reassemble equipment while maintaining quality and standards.
• Monitor equipment health and production performance to improve efficiency and yield.
• Collaborate with Operations and vendors to support process improvements and upgrades.
• Lead and support maintenance projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Use digital and AI-enabled tools for issue solving, planning, data analysis, and efficiency gains.
• Maintain strong safety and quality by following cleanroom protocols and PPE requirements.
