Job summary

Texas Instruments in Sherman, TX seeks a Process Integration Engineer to drive integration and development for analog and CMOS nodes in a 300 mm SM fab. You will partner with ATD, Process, Parametric Test, Product dev, Quality and Manufacturing to push continuous improvements across the organization.

The role requires strong device physics knowledge, DOE skills and the ability to lead multi-functional teams, manage schedules and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant engineering/physical science field.
  • Experience with CMOS/analog device integration in a semiconductor fab.

Responsibilities

  • Enable process and device improvements through characterization and data analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across RET, Process, Product, Quality and Manufacturing.
  • Drive schedules, milestones and technical discussions to meet deadlines.
  • Validate OPC and work with RET to improve process capability.
  • Support transfer, qualification and manufacture of analog/CMOS tech.

Job description

Process Integration Engineer

We’re at the forefront of an exciting advanced Analog 300 mm development in SM fab located in Sherman, TX. We are looking for a skilled Device & Process Integration (PI) Engineer, to join our team supporting SMFAB. This engineer will be an invaluable part of the team and in this role, you will drive the integration and development for existing and future analog & CMOS nodes, interfacing and communicating with ATD (Advanced Technology Development), Process engineering, Parametric Test engineering, Product development, Quality and Manufacturing groups across the organization. This position provides the opportunity to drive continual improvement at all levels.

Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Utilize technical knowledge of semiconductor device physics to enable competitive technology through process and parametric improvements
  • Drive process and device improvements through characterization, test, design of experiments, data analysis and simulation
  • Ownership of technology parametric performance, parametric Cpk improvements
  • Parametric test dispositions including root cause determination for scrap or outliers, definition and evaluations of experiments to improve processes
  • Product flow creation/review
  • Short flow and test chip development
  • Partnering with the RET team to validate OPC and make improvements, as appropriate
  • Cross functional team leadership to support the transfer, development, qualification, and manufacturing of advanced analog and CMOS technologies.
  • Work with multiple process, integration, product, quality, reliability, packaging and test engineers to achieve goals
  • Work closely with the product groups to identify and optimize the process performance to meet critical final device parameters to enable game changing products in the market The person performing this role must be capable of planning effectively, driving schedules, meet critical deadlines on multiple tasks in parallel, lead technical discussions in their area of expertise, and work effectively across organizational boundaries. They must be able to clearly communicate project status and actions. Additionally, they must be able to interface with multiple organizations and work well on a diverse team to accomplish goals.
Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Masters in EE, Chemical, Material Science Engineering or semiconductor specific: solid state physics, applied physics or quantum mechanics
  • 5 years of experience working in a semiconductor factory with specific experience in advanced CMOS semiconductor devices (90nm and below) and analog technologies
  • 5 years of experience in process integration and device

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in EE, Chemical, Material Science Engineering or semiconductor specific: solid state physics, applied physics or quantum mechanics
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to plan effectively, drive schedules, meet critical deadlines on multiple tasks in parallel, lead technical discussions in their area of expertise, and work effectively across organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated technical and practical understanding of advanced CMOS/analog semiconductor device physics and integration
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to plan effectively, drive schedules, meet critical deadlines on multiple tasks in parallel, lead technical discussions in their area of expertise, and work effectively across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
