Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to boost efficiency across its East London facilities. The role focuses on analyzing current manufacturing and operational processes, identifying waste, and implementing Lean/Six Sigma improvements to raise productivity.

You will work with production teams, quality control, and management to drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process improvement, industrial engineering, or a similar role.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, VSM).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing and operational processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Design and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for improved processes.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with production staff and engineers to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs related to process efficiency, quality, and cost, and report on progress.
