Job summary

All-Clad Metalcrafters in Canonsburg, PA seeks a Process Improvement Engineer to advance manufacturing excellence. You will support production, troubleshoot equipment, and lead Lean/Six Sigma projects to cut costs, reduce downtime, and improve quality across manual, robotic, and automated systems.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, SOP updates, and collaboration with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering to implement new processes and tooling. Must be near Canonsburg within 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with major in Materials, Metallurgy, or Mechanical preferred.
• Knowledge of workflows, ergonomics, and lean manufacturing either on-the-job or via academics.
• Experience with metal forming, machining, grinding and/or polishing is a plus.
• Experience with NC systems, robotics, and automation is a plus.
• Proficient with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, ProE or Solid Edge) is a plus.
• Experience with an ERP/MRP system and CMMS software.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and OEM manuals to create accurate work procedures.
• Regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day production by solving problems with Department Managers and Shift Supervisors to maximize safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot equipment, implement continuous improvement projects (Lean or Six Sigma), establish/update SOPs, and analyze data to reduce costs, scrap, and cycle times.
• Review operations of manual, robotic, and automated equipment to minimize downtime and identify improvement opportunities.
• Generate reports analyzing OEE, labor productivity, PM completion rates and machine downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement projects such as Kaizen events, Lean activities, 5S, process documentation, and training.
• Work with Research and Development and Manufacturing Engineering on trial and implementation of new products and equipment.
• Collaborate with outside suppliers to explore new materials and tooling for continuous improvement.
