Job summary

ADM is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer in Decatur, IL to implement process and technology improvements across the unit. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop an opportunity landscape, and prioritize capex and non-capex projects while driving safety and performance metrics.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years in a related field, with strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Agricultural or similar) required.
• 5+ years in a project or process engineering role in the food industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and people skills for working with plant personnel and regional management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Plant Operations leadership on driving and leading the improvement process; analyzing production loss and data to prioritize opportunities.
• Ensure holistic ideation with all functions; align capex and non-capex projects with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to implement and track performance metrics for assets.
• Develop process knowledge to guide production teams in optimizing unit operations and achieving targets.
• Capex planning, prioritization and tracking; portfolio management and CAPEX integrity accountability.
• Guide and drive the technical scope for capex projects; participate in site capital budgeting.
• Operate as a super user of WAVE for portfolio oversight and initiative management.
• Drive accountability of initiative and project execution; support prioritization with Plant Manager and stakeholders.
