Job summary

Ardagh Group is hiring a Process Handler to maintain the cold end department. You will inspect in-process ware, reselect and repack as needed, and ensure equipment functions properly. Must have a high school diploma and experience in manufacturing.

Position features 12-hour shifts with two-week day and two-week night rotations, with night differential and benefits per the collective bargaining agreement. Physical requirements include standing for long periods and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Visually examine and inspect in-process ware.
• Perform visual and specification inspections including spot checks.
• Reselect and repack ware.
• Pull mold numbers or reselect molds on the lehr and perform line reselect tasks.
• Unjam equipment, run samples and evaluate quality against requirements.
• Operate label machine.
• Make minor equipment adjustments as needed.
• Load automatic carton equipment and assemble cartons.
• Perform palletizer/unitizer/forklift related duties.
• Operate baler, compactor, power sweeper and keep packing area clean.
