Job summary

Ardagh Group is hiring for a role on production lines to inspect and pack glass containers. The starting rate is $23.65 per hour, with increases governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Candidate must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities include reselecting ware, inspecting for defects, packing into shipping containers, and maintaining safety and efficient flow. Strong communication and ability to stand for long periods are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Experience in manufacturing and knowledge of inspection methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reselect and/or replace ware as required.
• Visually inspect glass containers for defects to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Inspect cartons and interiors for damage and pack acceptable ware into shipping containers.
• Discard defective ware into cullet conveyor or proper receptacle for removal.
• Unjam carton and ware conveyor systems equipment and case packers to maintain flow of product.
• Report defects and machine malfunctions to auditors and supervisor.
• Maintain safety through good housekeeping and work methods.

Compensation and Schedule

The starting pay rate for this role is $23.65 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shifts.
