Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking candidates for roles on our glass packaging production lines. The position involves inspecting and packing glass containers, reselecting or replacing ware as needed, and maintaining continuous flow on conveyors and case packers.

You will work on the manufacturing floor with emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency. The job requires standing for extended periods, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and effective communication to report defects and anomalies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift forty (40) pounds.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of specialized inspection methods including gauging and testing equipment.
• Stable work history.

Responsibilities

• Reselect and/or replace ware as required.
• Visually inspect glass containers for defects to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Inspect cartons and interiors for damage and pack acceptable ware into specified shipping containers.
• Discard defective ware into cullet conveyor or proper receptacle for removal.
• Unjam carton and ware conveyor systems equipment and case packers to maintain the flow of product.
• Report defects and machine malfunctions to Auditors and Supervisor.
• Maintain safety through good housekeeping and good work methods.
• Housekeeping.
• Other production duties as assigned.
