Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Process Engineering Technician to support all engineering processes in the facility, including chemical, mechanical, and photo processes.

Training is on-the-job with mentorship and a focus on safety with PPE. You will perform routine equipment checks, determine product acceptability, identify root causes of defects, write and edit procedures, and collaborate with suppliers and engineers to improve process quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and software.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Docs acceptable but MS versions used on the job.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, including short- and long-term assignments.
• Able to stand for long shifts, lift 40 lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and crouch or overhead work.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
• PCB knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Excellent technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of equipment, processes, and products on a regular schedule and implement corrective actions.
• Determine product acceptability and decide whether to proceed or change the process.
• Identify root causes of defects.
• Write and edit standard operating procedures.
• Support or initiate projects to improve overall process quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and engineers to troubleshoot issues.
• Operate production equipment to run specialized engineering tasks.
