Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician I in Lewiston, ID. The role focuses on basic preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and requires basic technical knowledge across electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

The position operates on a swing shift (Mon-Fri, 2:45pm–11:15pm) and emphasizes accurate documentation, learning company principles, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting. Strong Excel/Word/Access skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronic technology or related field.
• Basic understanding of electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic technology.
• Experience maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Basic knowledge of modern test equipment used to diagnose equipment failures.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform preventive maintenance of basic complexity on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues found during preventive maintenance and reactive calls.
• Enter and maintain accurate entries in the equipment maintenance database.
• Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
