• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing concepts to line design.
• Ability to conduct root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Familiarity with DFA/DFM and mistake-proofing approaches.
• Understanding of cycle time, TAKT, and product throughput targets.

Responsibilities

• Support development of appropriate cycle, TAKT and throughput targets.
• Review production and labor daily to drive improvement.
• Assist line and workstation design, including assessments to enhance productivity.
• Develop processes and work instructions with emphasis on safety and ergonomics.
• Plan fixtures and hand tools, incorporating mistake-proofing.
• Apply concepts like DFA/DFM, Lean, DFT, and Poka-Yoke to processes.
• Support setups for diverse materials (wood, metal, plastic, glass).
• Develop manufacturing process strategies to meet customer value and pricing.

The Process Engineer is responsible for conducting studies and implementing the best sequence of the operations and work flow. Suggests methods to ensure the maximum utilization of facilities, equipment and human resource to deliver a process capable of producing 100% on time and defect free. Responsible for providing the technical expertise linking design requirements with production realities.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Supports development of identifying appropriate cycle, TAKT and product throughput time.
• Review production and labor daily
• Supports development of line designs, work station and operational definitions.
• Support development of line and work station design. This will include assessments and adjustments to enhance productivity and adjust capacity as needed.
• Able to apply concepts such as DFA/DFM, Lean Manufacturing/DFT, Poka-Yoke, etc.
• Supports setting up processes that include a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastic and glass.
• Assists in developing processes that are safe and ergonomically suitable
• Develops, communicates and participates in implementing manufacturing process strategies capable of producing defect free products that consistently meet customer requirements for value and pricing.
