Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Sherman, TX is seeking a manufacturing technician to execute OCAP per process specifications, perform engineering tests under engineer guidance, and train new operators to operate safely and efficiently in a cleanroom environment.

You will proofread process documentation, monitor SPC and process data streams, release WIP from hold, and help uphold quality and environmental standards such as ISO 9001/14001 while following site EHS procedures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Basic knowledge of wafer processing and standard operating procedures.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Education & Experience

• 4+ years of experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of general semiconductor wafer processing and standard operating procedure in factory.
• Basic knowledge of die sort.
• Good written/oral communication skills.
• Fluency in MS‑Excel, Word.

Working Conditions

• Will be exposed to areas where hand tools and power tools are being operated.
• Will be exposed to areas where hazardous chemicals or gases are stored.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Work in a class 100/1000 clean room for extended periods.
• Wear full cleanroom attire (smock, mask, etc.).
• Work with and/or around chemicals (such as solids and acids).
• Stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Lift up to 16–30 pounds.
• Push/Pull up to 16–30 pounds.
• Sit for up to 4 hours at a time.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
