Job summary

As a rising junior or senior in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, you will contribute to manufacturing improvements and gain hands-on experience with locomotive braking systems.

You will work both individually and on a project team, receive feedback, and present to company leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing junior or senior year.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Interest in manufacturing and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product improvement or cost optimization projects through trials and trial reports.
• Assist with machine shutdowns and start-ups.
• Monitor and optimize process quality and conditions.
• Analyze process variability.
• Provide technical support for key departments.
• Apply problem-solving and analytical skills for initiatives.
• Support production process continuous improvement using OE tools.
• Assist in capital project scoping, installation, and supervision.
• Contribute to plant studies design and final project installation.
