Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. in Sterling, VA is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to support manufacturing improvements and automation initiatives over a 12–14 week period. You will work with mentors to identify methods for automating processes and help implement designs for manufacturability.

Collaborating across programs, you will monitor process performance and contribute to cost-saving efforts, with opportunities to present updates to leadership and participate in internal design reviews.

Qualifications

• Current college junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience applying engineering concepts to solve problems.
• Expected internship experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Willingness to learn quickly and work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively in a team to implement manufacturing process improvements and automation.
• Collaborate with mentors to identify methods for automating processes.
• Utilize a structured engineering approach to deploy best practices for process control and to improve yields.
• Initiates and/or updates documentation of processes into work instructions, training guides and/or certification tests.
• Provide regular updates to program coordinator and corporate leads.
• Leads capital project efforts to resolve production capacity and technology capability issues.
• Limited travel required for workshops and trade shows.
