Job summary

Amcor is seeking Plant Process Engineering Co-ops to provide technical support across manufacturing sites, improving and optimizing operations. You will work on real projects, install capital equipment, and tackle defects while driving cost savings.

You will collaborate with operations staff, apply analytical skills, and learn software tools. This paid co-op offers hands-on experience with a global packaging leader and potential future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with manufacturing operations personnel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple ongoing projects and day-to-day process problems.
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, Share Point, and the ability to quickly learn software needed to perform job specific duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to improve and optimize manufacturing operations and processes.
• Complete multiple projects during term, solving real issues in the manufacturing environment.
• Past students have installed new capital equipment, identified root causes for defects, and created substantial cost savings through waste initiatives.
