Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in electronics assembly processes is preferred.
• Strong materials science and failure analysis knowledge related to assembly and reliability.
• Experience applying DOE methods for root cause analysis.
• Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD, J-STD or IPC standards is a plus.
• 3D modeling and drafting experience, SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support overseas manufacturing site by addressing production, quality and material supply challenges while driving process improvement to increase yield and throughput.
• Perform RCCA investigations via DOEs on product failures.
• Manage small to medium scale capital projects, including equipment selection and implementation.
• Create, edit, and review production documentation.
• Perform new material evaluation and run qualifications.
• Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely deliveries.
• Support new product development and scale-up from prototype to full production.
• Travel internationally and domestically to production facilities.
