Job summary

Sofidel SpA in Inola, Oklahoma, is seeking a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team local to the area for a long-term role in a stable environment. The role focuses on maintenance, reliability, productivity, capital implementation and continuous improvement of tissue-paper manufacturing processes.

You will work with chemical and biochemical processes, scale up from lab to plant, and collaborate across safety, quality, and operations to ensure efficient, compliant production.

Responsibilities

• Understand the reactions in the paper making process and propose improvements.
• Install and optimize control systems to start, run, and upgrade processes.
• Ensure environmental protection and health and safety considerations are integrated.
• Assess process relevance and adequacy of engineering equipment.
• Review data and determine when further research is required.
• Conduct lab-scale experiments to scale processes to manufacturing.
• Monitor raw material availability and plant safety/environmental impact.
• Manage project costs and timelines; coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
