Job summary

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, Bloomington, IL, is seeking an Associate Process Engineer to establish plant specifications and drive quality, productivity and cost improvements.

The role uses data-driven problem solving to identify root causes, reduce waste and implement countermeasures with cross-functional teams. A technical degree in engineering and experience in rubber/tire manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical degree with preference of a Bachelor's in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology or Material Science.
• 5+ years' experience in rubber / tire manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement & New Product Development - conduct trials, analyze data, report to management.
• Specifications & Standards - issue and adjust specs to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Technical Support - monitor compliance and advise on improvements.
• Special Assignments & Cross Functional Teams - assist on root-cause analysis and projects.
