Job summary

MeriCal is seeking a Process Engineer, Technical Ops to optimize and troubleshoot manufacturing processes for tablet, capsule, and powder products on the production floor. You will own dry-fill, compression, encapsulation, blending, granulation, and powder-fill processes to ensure robust performance, yield improvements, and consistent product quality from pilot to full-scale production.

You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Maintenance to solve equipment and process issues,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field.
• 3+ years of process engineering in solid dose manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with solid dose processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize manufacturing processes for tablets, capsules, and powders.
• Lead process development and scale-up from pilot to commercial production.
• Investigate and resolve in-process issues and implement CAPAs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Develop and maintain process documentation (BMRs, SOPs, PFDs).
• Support equipment qualification and process validation activities.
• Identify opportunities for yield improvement, cycle-time reduction, and waste reduction.
