Trs Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to support a specialty polymers manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, SC.

You will optimize polymerization, extrusion, pelletizing, and related operations to improve yield, quality, and OEE while upholding safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Polymer/Materials Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in polymers or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process operations and polymer manufacturing.
• Experience analyzing data and implementing process improvements.
• Knowledge of process safety principles and industrial safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize polymerization, extrusion, pelletizing, and solid-state polymerization operations.
• Analyze production data to improve yield, throughput, process capability, and OEE.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and boost productivity.
• Support scale-up from pilot to full commercial manufacturing.
• Develop process models, mass balances, and production metrics.
• Provide daily technical support and investigate deviations, off-spec material, and equipment issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving.
• Support startups, shutdowns, grade changes, and new product introductions.
