Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Kalispell, MT is seeking a Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies.

You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues to improve process stability. You will measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and collaborate with vendors and customers while implementing new technologies and products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on moderately difficult process engineering experiments.
• Perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems.
• Troubleshoot challenging but manageable problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve process engineering issues.
• Measure film properties and organize data/reports for review.
• Generate internal documentation for products, presentations, and technical reports.
• Communicate and engage with customers to resolve moderately difficult process engineering issues or concerns, under general supervision.
• Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers.
• Implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
