The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemical Engineering, brings 5+ years in chemical processing, and can lead process safety activities, technical analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives across utilities and ammonia/urea systems.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical processing preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in product/process development and laboratory techniques.
  • Foundation in chemistry and mathematics.
  • Experience in agricultural chemical manufacturing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety culture through active participation in site safety programs.
  • Provide technical leadership in process safety activities (PHAs, MOCs, PSSRs, SIL reviews, RCAs).
  • Deliver engineering analyses, process modeling, and risk-based recommendations for safe operations.
  • Maintain process design documentation and engineering standards (P&IDs, relief systems, records).
  • Monitor process performance data and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Support operations by resolving plant upsets and investigating production issues.
  • Lead projects, outages, maintenance activities, and capital investments.
  • Develop design alternatives for Utilities, Ammonia, and Urea systems.
