Job summary

Thread-Craft is seeking a Process Engineer to translate customer requirements and engineering drawings into practical, repeatable manufacturing processes for precision components used in industrial, aerospace, and defense applications.

You will review prints, develop routings, and create clear process instructions while collaborating with engineering, production, quality, sales, and leadership to optimize manufacturability and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in machining or precision manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and tolerances.
• 3D modeling and 2D CAD drafting experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Review customer prints, drawings, tolerances, notes, and specs for completeness and manufacturability.
• Develop processes and routings defining production, inspection, and movement of parts.
• Create and maintain part numbers, routings, and ERP data.
• Create process instructions, drawings, and documentation for production use.
• Provide technical support to engineering, production, quality, sales, and leadership.
• Learn outside processing requirements and incorporate into manufacturing plans.
• Drive continuous improvement on manufacturability, quality, lead time, and efficiency.
