Job summary

The Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating, developing, and optimizing manufacturing and operational processes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to implement best practices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure continuous improvement throughout the production lifecycle.

Essential duties include analyzing production, designing optimized workflows, monitoring KPIs, and supporting equipment selection and scale‑up

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3‑5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly in verbal and written formats.
  • Proficiency in writing reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and present data effectively.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and identify process issues, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • APICS Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support facility operations by evaluating and improving production processes.
  • Analyze current production and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Review, approve, and source packaging such as bottles, cartons, boxes, and flexible films.
  • Analyze SCADA data and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to improve OEE.
  • Design, implement, and document optimized workflows, procedures, and controls.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure process efficiency and quality.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for process‑related issues.
  • Evaluate new equipment, technologies, or methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Safety to support process compliance and equipment reliability.
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Support training for operations staff on new or revised processes.
  • Assist in new product introductions and scale‑up activities.
  • Ensure all processes comply with internal standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Support the evaluation and recommendation of manufacturing equipment to improve and automate production.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality Control, Planning and Transportation to support production plans and schedules.
  • Provide support to operating departments regarding product movement priorities.
  • Extract and analyze data from various computer applications to support process improvements.
  • Supports company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Manages multiple tasks and collaborates with various departments in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
