Job summary

ForestSource in New Berlin, WI is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and apply the Corporate Quality program at the coating plant. You will analyze processes, drive improvements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead projects to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.

Entry level to 5 years experience in engineering with hands-on manufacturing, data analysis, and strong communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (chemical, polymer/plastic, or mechanical preferred).
• 1–5 years experience (entry level to mid-career).
• Hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Interest in Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing and data analysis.
• Autocad drafting preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong interaction, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Self-starter capable of working independently or in a team.
• Strong project management to deliver on time and budget.
• ISO knowledge and experience with statistical process control.
• Willingness to work around hazardous chemicals and wear respirator when required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, make recommendations, and improve processes in manufacturing systems.
• Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
• Develop innovations for equipment upgrades and product changes including quality issues and cost reductions.
• Partner with customers, sales, and operations to improve existing products and commercialize new products and processes.
• Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining quality standards.
