Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Process Engineer for the New Berlin, WI coating plant. The role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing methods, and applying the Corporate Quality program across operations to drive efficiency, yield, and cost improvements.

Key responsibilities include evaluating processes, implementing improvements, and collaborating with customers, sales, and operations to commercialize new products and processes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (chemical, polymer/plastic, or mechanical preferred).
• Entry level to 5 years experience.
• Hands on manufacturing experience.
• Data analysis such as Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing preferred.
• Autocad drafting preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent interaction, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong project management skills to deliver results on time and on budget.
• ISO knowledge.
• Ability to apply statistical process/quality control.
• Willingness to work around hazardous chemicals and wear a respirator when required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve processes in manufacturing systems.
• Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
• Recommend and develop solutions for equipment upgrades and product changes including customer issues and cost reductions.
• Partner with customers, sales, and operations to improve existing products and commercialize new products and processes.
• Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining quality standards.
