Job summary

Meta Reality Labs in Redmond, WA is seeking a detail-oriented Process Engineer to advance execution, development, and optimization of innovative optical materials for AR/VR applications. You will work hands-on in a lab, designing experiments and applying rigorous data analysis to push prototypes toward scalable processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and supply-chain partners, implement robust SOPs, and contribute to continuous process improvements while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in process development.
• Laboratory experience handling organic chemicals and solvents; use of related lab equipment.
• Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and data analysis.
• Excellent data handling, documentation, and organization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle, prepare, and process organic materials and solutions in a laboratory setting, observing safety protocols.
• Implement complex standard operating procedures with precision and efficiency.
• Design experiments to evaluate process feasibility and optimize parameters.
• Identify and resolve issues in electromechanical systems and equipment with engineering teams.
• Collect, document, and analyze data; prepare reports and present findings.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to material innovation.
