Responsibilities

  • Develop Lean Manufacturing processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost.
  • Develop and execute process improvement plans with measurable, sustainable results.
  • Monitor process performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with operations and other departments to implement new or improved processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for new and modified processes.
  • Lead Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, SMED, and TPM activities.
  • Support MDI and visual daily management processes, including Tier 1-4 boards.
  • Lead productivity and OEE improvement projects.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and implement countermeasures.
  • Lead projects involving equipment outages, installations, and new processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources for projects.
  • Support quality systems (APQP, PFMEA, CAPA, Control Plans).
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety standards.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing process improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve quality, and increase efficiency across manufacturing operations.

This role will lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, evaluate current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions that strengthen overall plant performance. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing experience, technical problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement projects from analysis through implementation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost.
  • Develop and execute process improvement plans that deliver measurable and sustainable results.
  • Monitor process performance metrics and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations and other departments to successfully implement new or improved processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for new and modified processes.
  • Lead and facilitate Lean Manufacturing activities, including Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, SMED, and TPM.
  • Support Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) and visual daily management processes, including Tier 1-4 boards.
  • Lead complex productivity and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement projects.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why and implement effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead projects involving major equipment outages, new equipment installations, and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to successfully execute assigned projects.
  • Support quality systems and methodologies including APQP, PFMEA, Corrective and Preventive Actions, and Control Plans, as applicable.
  • Maintain the safe working environment and ensure compliance with established safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an onsite position based at our Leetsdale, PA manufacturing facility. Work is performed in an industrial environment that may include exposure to moving mechanical equipment, varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, and active manufacturing operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to communicate effectively and may frequently walk, sit, and use their hands to handle materials or equipment. The position may occasionally require standing, reaching, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
