Job summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes across Greensboro, NC, Moulton, AL, and Pevely, MO with 50% travel. This on-site role partners with operations and maintenance to drive safety, quality, productivity, and reliability.

You will own process improvements, develop SOPs, support capital projects, and champion Lean/Six Sigma methods, delivering actionable solutions through data analysis and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of process engineering or CI experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma; Green Belt preferred.
• Strong data analysis and problem‑solving to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Champion process and personnel safety by supporting EHS excellence.
• Review, develop, update, and maintain manufacturing processes and SOPs.
• Serve as SME for plant processes; drive productivity, quality, reliability, and cost improvements.
• Lead process optimization initiatives to improve throughput and reduce variability.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes, bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, R&D, and other stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Support implementation of new technologies, automation solutions, and digital tools.
• Train production personnel on process best practices, standards, and CI methodologies.
• Identify and lead CI initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
