Job summary

Autoliv is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency across new product launches. You will support day-to-day production and drive continuous improvement.

You will lead root cause investigations (8D, 5 Why), apply SPC and Lean Six Sigma, and collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to minimize downtime and maximize performance during launches.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field; CMgE or CMgET certification is a plus.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or high-volume production environments.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills on the shop floor.
  • Experience with root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why), SPC, process capability analysis, and Lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Flexibility to work in a production environment, support off-shift operations, travel occasionally, and work extended hours during launches or critical events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and successful new product launches.
  • Monitor process performance using SPC and data analysis tools to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead root cause investigations using 8D and 5 Why, and implement CAPA.
  • Provide real-time production support by troubleshooting equipment and resolving process-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean and Six Sigma with cross-functional teams.
