Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Process Engineer in Vandalia, IL to drive improvements across warehouse, production, and packaging. You will apply process engineering and continuous improvement to improve safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction while leading capital projects and data-driven initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years in related fields, a Bachelor's degree, and Lean Six Sigma knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, warehousing, logistics, production, packaging, manufacturing, automation, or capital projects preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; KPI tracking and dashboards; data analysis; SOPs and process documentation; facility layouts and process flows; equipment requirements; CAD/layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse, production, packaging, and operational processes.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste, errors, variation, and costs.
• Support process design, facility layout, process flow, equipment requirements, SOPs, and process standardization.
• Analyze operational data and develop recommendations to improve productivity, capacity, quality, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify automation opportunities and develop business cases with ROI, labor, and payback analyses.
• Support equipment selection, vendor coordination, testing, startup, implementation, and training.
• Participate in automation, facility expansion, process redesign, and other capital projects.
• Manage project activities and ensure projects deliver expected results.
