Mativ's Lowville Mill is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for a 10-week program starting May 2027. The role offers exposure to operations, real-time production, and cross-functional projects with deliverables and leadership exposure.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Paper Science, Chemistry, or Engineering with at least 1 year of study completed, strong MS Excel skills, and a drive to learn and improve processes on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree with concentration in Paper Science, Chemistry, or Engineering
• Completion of at least 1 full year of coursework (2 years preferred)
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

Responsibilities

• Support process efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives
• Update mill documentation and drawings
• Identify defects and develop corrective plans
• Participate in new product trials and leadership meetings
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures
• Contribute to cross-functional projects on the mill floor
