Job summary

Titan America invites applications for a Process Engineer Intern at our Roanoke Cement Plant in Troutville, VA. This role reports to the Cement Production Manager and involves hands-on exposure to process engineering tasks within a cement plant.

Responsibilities include safety training, monitoring equipment, assisting in plans, and supporting reporting and audits. Strong communication and self-starting, team collaboration, and MS Office proficiency are required, with at least 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Chemical, Materials Science or Process Engineering.

• Monitor methods and equipment with a view on improving performance and efficiency.
• Assist in developing and implementing departmental plans.
• Assist in identifying courses of action to improve safety, operational efficiencies, control production costs and protect the environment.
• Assist with reporting, planning, and audits.
• Clearly articulate ideas or issues to management.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Graduate or student actively pursuing a degree in Chemical, Material Sciences or Process Engineering.
• Ability to be a self-starter, be self-directed, and take initiative to move forward with ideas; must be able to work with and influence others.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with professional decorum.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities to anticipate issues and provide solutions.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
