Job summary

Titan America is offering an Electrical Engineer Intern position at the Roanoke Cement Plant in Troutville, VA. The intern will report to the Electrical Maintenance Manager and gain hands-on experience in plant electrical systems, safety, and maintenance.

Responsibilities include safety training, analyzing information, calibrating sensors, reviewing thermal imaging, maintaining drawings, and supporting planning, reporting, and audits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial and Systems Engineering.
• Strong self-starter with initiative and teamwork.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Detail oriented with analytical judgment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Basic project management skills.
• Prior internship or Co-op in heavy industry beneficial.
• Able to commit to at least 35 hours per week.

• Assist in identifying courses of action to improve safety and operational efficiencies.
• Assist with reporting, planning, and audits.
• Clearly articulate ideas or issues to management.
