Job summary

Crane Engineering, a Midwest-based company, is seeking a Process Engineer for the Kimberly, WI office. You will develop and optimize liquid processing systems from concept to startup and certification, working with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality output.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background with related experience and knowledge of pumps, valves, and process equipment. This role emphasizes practical problem-solving and delivering efficient, reliable processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or minimum three years related experience and/or training
• Experience within the industrial, pulp and paper or sanitary markets preferred
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, and process equipment preferred
• Experience in quoting, sizing, and selecting pumps and valves
• An innovative problem-solver capable of becoming a customer’s “go-to” engineer
• Ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload to meet customer requirements for projects
• Well-organized and self-directed team player
• Ability to articulate at all levels of organizations personnel and possess excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and optimize liquid process systems from inception through to start up and certification.
• Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
• Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes.
• Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
• Review project proposals, specifications, and drawings to determine engineering requirements, project feasibility and tasks required for successful project completion.
• Execute the strategy for conversion of a request for quotation (RFQ) to a proposal to a profitable order.
• Create shop routing which detail procedures and tasks that must be completed to finalize projects.
• Manage the project timeline to meet or exceed delivery schedules.
• Provide customer and employee product training and technical support on sales calls.
• Accurately price, verify contractual obligations, internal costs, agency sales and stock/drop-shipments.
