Job summary

Crane Engineering is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Kimberly, WI team. You will develop, configure, and optimize liquid process systems from inception through startup and certification, while assessing processes and interpreting data to improve performance.

You will design, test, and upgrade systems, develop best practices, and convert RFQs into profitable orders, managing project timelines and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field and practical experience.
• Experience in industrial, pulp and paper, or sanitary markets is preferred.
• Ability to quote, size, and select pumps and valves; strong problem-solving capacity.

Process Engineer

Crane Engineering is a family-orientated Midwest based company in Wisconsin, Minnesota and upper Michigan. We currently have an opportunity for a Process Engineer at our Kimberly, WI office.

What You'll do:

• Develop, configure, and optimize liquid process systems from inception through to start up and certification.
• Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
• Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes.
• Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
• Review project proposals, specifications, and drawings to determine engineering requirements, project feasibility and tasks required for successful project completion.
• Execute the strategy for conversion of a request for quotation (RFQ) to a proposal to a profitable order.
• Create shop routing which detail procedures and tasks that must be completed to finalize projects.
• Manage the project timeline to meet or exceed delivery schedules.
• Provide customer and employee product training and technical support on sales calls.
• Accurately price, verify contractual obligations, internal costs, agency sales and stock/drop-shipments.

Requirements

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or minimum three years related experience and/or training
• Experience within the industrial, pulp and paper or sanitary markets preferred
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, and process equipment preferred
• Experience in quoting, sizing, and selecting pumps and valves
• An innovative problem-solver capable of becoming a customer’s “go-to” engineer
• Ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload to meet customer requirements for projects
• Well-organized and self-directed team player
• Ability to articulate at all levels of organizations personnel and possess excellent communication skills
