Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks a Process Engineer III for a long-term role in Rancho Cordova, CA. A BS in Chemical Engineering is required along with 4–9 years of related experience. The role is full-time, M-F, with possible evenings and overtime to support projects.

Responsibilities include leading PHA/PSSR safety reviews, designing projects for safety and productivity, maintaining batch records, and mentoring operators. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4-9 years of related experience in a manufacturing or process environment.
• Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-focused reviews (PHA and PSSR) and develop safe solutions.
• Design projects to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Maintain cGMP batch records and change control documentation.
• Monitor processes, investigate variances, and plan day-to-day activities.
• Lead in setup operations, changeovers, and cleaning instructions.
• Generate GMP documentation and provide operator training, supporting CAPA investigations.
• Create new batch records and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot processes to reduce downtime and improve cycle time.
• Provide team leadership on projects and assist in equipment qualification.
• Adapt piping/instrumentation drawings and flow sheets as needed.
• Collaborate with senior staff to resolve manufacturing issues.

Job description

Yoh presents an excellent long-term Process Engineer III opportunity with a trusted, long-term client located in Rancho Cordova, CA.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience. Schedule is full-time M-F (7am-8am start time, 8 hour shift) and may require flexibility to work some evenings and overtime due to projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follows listed PPE requirements and chemical handling requirements, addresses safety issues promptly, and communicates safety issues to fellow employees.
• Technical lead in PHA and PSSR reviews. Develop safe solutions to encountered safety problems.
• Uses engineering skills to design projects for enhanced safety, quality and or productivity improvements.
• Follows cGMP guidelines for operation comments and batch records, other change control requirements, and related documentation practices.
• Monitors existing processes, ensuring that batch records are maintained, variances are investigated, and day to day activities are properly planned.
• Conducts product changeovers, preparation of cleaning instruction, and leading in set up operations.
• Leads in the generation of GMP documentation and operator training, including comments and variances. Provide technical knowledge to variance and CAPA investigations.
• Prepares new batch records and work instructions.
• Troubleshoots processes to reduce downtime, improve cycle time, and increase productivity.
• Provides team leadership to projects.
• Activates and qualifies facilities and equipment.
• Modifies piping and instrumentation drawings, flow sheets, and emission calculations.
• Independently evaluates, selects, and applies engineering techniques, procedures and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications.
• Works with senior staff oversight to resolve problems encountered in the manufacturing environment.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 4-9 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent required.
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a high consciousness for personal safety.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team oriented.
• Highly motivated and willingness to learn.

Estimated Min Rate: $45.00
