Job summary

Worley is seeking a Process Engineer II to join our Baton Rouge team, supporting refining, chemical, petrochemical, energy, and industrial projects along the Gulf Coast. This role requires independently handling standard process engineering tasks under senior guidance.

Responsibilities include process simulations, heat and material balances, PFDs/P&IDs, equipment sizing, and coordination with multi-discipline teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 3+ years of process engineering experience in refining, chemical, petrochemical, or related facilities.
• Experience with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PIPE-FLO, or AFT Fathom/Arrow.

Responsibilities

• Develop heat and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, line lists and instrument data.
• Perform process simulations, hydraulic calculations, pressure drop evaluations and equipment sizing.
• Support front-end studies, debottlenecking, brownfield revamps and detailed design for Gulf Coast facilities.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to support integrated project execution.
• Review vendor information, support bid evaluations and procurement inputs.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews and HAZOP/LOPA support.
• Assist field activities including site walkdowns and data gathering.
• Follow all Worley, client, regulatory, HSE and quality requirements.
