Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks a Technical Process Engineer to optimize mill operations and enhance safety, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency. You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methods to identify opportunities and implement sustainable improvements across manufacturing processes.

Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Environmental teams to monitor performance, standardize best practices, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7+ years in manufacturing/process engineering, preferably pulp and paper or related industry.
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mill process performance data to identify safety, quality, production, and environmental improvements.
• Lead and support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and digital solutions.
• Develop action plans and drive cross-functional teams to sustain improvements.
• Build and maintain process dashboards and KPIs for decision making.
