Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks a Process Engineer to manage technical projects improving product quality, efficiency, and profitability. You will partner with operations and Control Engineers to optimize processes, develop PI tags, and analyze data for informed decisions.

A Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering is required with 0–2 years in process engineering; PI training is a plus. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering required; paper science or chemical engineering preferred.
• PI Training is a plus and indicates readiness for process excellence work.
• 0–2 years of experience in a process engineering role is expected.

Responsibilities

• Improve operating efficiency and minimize variation through process changes and trials.
• Provide analytical support and problem-solving to operators and managers.
• Drive continuous process improvement via managed process trials.
• Develop PI pages/tags to monitor processes and equipment.
• Track data, perform statistical analysis, and inform decisions.
• Generate production reporting and daily process troubleshooting.
