Job summary

Interface is a global flooring and sustainability leader focused on design, performance and environmental impact. The Process Engineer II will identify improvement opportunities, lead cross-disciplinary teams, and implement new manufacturing processes.

The role requires hands-on and theoretical engineering approaches with a strong emphasis on Six Sigma and Lean tools. Educational requirements include a BS in Engineering and 2+ years in Process, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering and over 2 years Process, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering experience
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, from floor level through management
• Proven team leadership skills and ability to influence others at all levels
• Knowledge of process engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, and material properties

Responsibilities

• Learn and retain a working knowledge of company initiatives, processes, laboratory testing and quality control procedures
• Work with operators to learn capabilities and identify opportunities for efficiency, procedures, quality and safety improvements
• Evaluate processes to improve product uniformity, eliminate non-value-added functions, optimize efficiency and yield
• Partner with manufacturing to develop, maintain, implement, and monitor procedures and standards
• Travel to locations outside the company to conduct continuous improvement activities, trials or training as necessary
