Job summary

CANUSA EPC in Denver, CO is seeking a Process Engineer II to join our growing oil & gas team. You will develop process studies, lead simulations, and prepare design documents through concept to field startup.

You'll work with clients, project managers, and other disciplines to deliver practical engineering solutions, participate in PHA meetings, and support commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of process engineering experience; master's may count for up to 2 years.
• Experience in oil & gas, natural gas, energy, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
• Proficiency with process engineering calculations and design documentation.
• Experience with BRE ProMax and/or AspenTech HYSYS.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, and DOT standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, calculations, and technical reports.
• Build and update process simulations using BRE ProMax or Aspen HYSYS.
• Create PFDs, HMBs, and P&IDs; perform sizing calculations and develop specs.
• Size PSV and perform related calculations under guidance from seniors.
• Review vendor drawings and technical documentation for project compliance.
• Participate in PHA meetings and implement recommendations.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, designers, clients, and operations teams.
• Support commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and field improvements.
