Job summary

GAF is seeking a Process Engineer to ensure optimized operations for product manufacturing, while driving process improvements and quality initiatives. You will maintain process specifications and related documentation, and lead root cause analyses to sustain efficiency and cost controls.

The role emphasizes training staff, coordinating trials with R&D, and standardizing SOPs and JSA’s to maximize productivity and reduce waste, in a high-demand production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) coupled with 2+ years of demonstrated related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design reviews and qualification studies for materials, products, and processes.
• Perform PPA/FMEA on major process and raw material changes.
• Train production personnel on Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Interpret and apply SPC charting; educate personnel on products, policies and procedures.
