Job summary

Medtronic in North Haven, CT is seeking a Process Engineer I to support polymer-based manufacturing within the PDBF organization. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Engineering to optimize processes, drive improvements, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

As an early-career engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in process development, equipment implementation, troubleshooting, validation, and NPI activities within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 0+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/process development via internships or employment.
• Experience analyzing data and applying problem-solving tools.
• Experience in regulated environments (medical device/pharma) recommended.
• Experience with process validation, equipment qualification, or NPI activities.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Minitab/JMP/Excel/MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
• Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies.
• Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process specifications.
• Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods.
• Collaborate with product design and development to ensure process compatibility.
• Lead development and optimization of new manufacturing concepts and SPC techniques.
