Job summary

Medtronic in North Haven, CT is seeking a Process Engineer I to support polymer development and bulk fabrication within a regulated manufacturing setting. You will collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Engineering to optimize processes, drive improvements, and ensure safe, efficient production aligned with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 0+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, process development, laboratory, or engineering projects.
• Experience analyzing data and applying problem-solving tools.
• Experience working in regulated environments (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related).
• Experience supporting process validation, equipment qualification, engineering studies, or new product introduction.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
• Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production yields.
• Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process target specifications.
• Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
• Interacts with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible.
• May develop and conduct statistical analysis or document work.
• Leads innovation, development and optimization of new manufacturing concepts for transfer to operations.
• Develops manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control and measurement systems.
• Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations.
