Job summary

Parker Chomerics in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to maximize cost effectiveness and reliability of our manufacturing flow, processes and equipment. This role will design fixtures, establish Statements of Work, and lead capital equipment implementations across elastomer and extrusion operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering field.
• 0-2+ years of practical process knowledge of Elastomer manufacturing processes, molding processes, or extrusion manufacturing.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to utilize automated measuring tools.
• Hands-on approach on projects without supervision.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Minitab experience preferred.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, project management, FMEAs, and quality systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of APQP control plans and PPAP validation plans is preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.

Responsibilities

• Refine and enhance processes using Lean principles to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Identify and implement solutions for safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions.
• Develop innovative solutions to engineering and manufacturing problems through process analysis and collaboration with suppliers.
• Implement zero defect quality initiative across product lines and processes.
• Improve workflow, space, and equipment layout; coordinate cross-team input and implement changes.
• Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes and engineering procedures.
• Assure product and process quality by testing and establishing standards.
• Determine root causes with statistical methods and adjust designs or processes accordingly.
• Evaluate capital equipment investments and manage equipment implementation projects.
