Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks a Chemical Engineer to monitor process performance, drive yield and energy improvements, and support plant turnarounds. The role requires prior MPC internship and US work eligibility for a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Required major: Chemical Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without sponsorship.
• Must be a former Intern of Marathon Petroleum Corporation.
• A valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors process performance and identifies opportunities to improve yield, energy efficiency and reliability.
• Supports collaboration with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to resolve challenges.
• Participates in hazard evaluations, incident investigations and management of change, including PHA.
• Supports turnaround/outage execution and reviews planning and post-event evaluations.
• Maintains process documentation and mass balance within tolerance.
• Participates in technology advisory groups.
