Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks a Process Engineer in Findlay, Ohio to support energy, safety and reliability improvements across refining operations. You will help monitor process performance, analyze opportunities, and collaborate with operations, engineering and maintenance teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, US work authorization, and a background as a former MPC intern. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • Required Major: Chemical Engineering
  • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be a former Intern of Marathon Petroleum Corporation
  • A valid driver’s license is required

Responsibilities

  • Monitors process performance and identifies opportunities to improve yield, energy efficiency, and reliability.
  • Supports collaboration with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Participates in hazard evaluations, incident investigations, and management of change. Participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
  • Supports turnaround/outage execution. May review turnaround planning, including scope development and post-event evaluations.
  • Maintains and updates process documentation. Troubleshoots and maintains unit mass balance within tolerance.
  • Participates in technology advisory groups.

  • Participates in hazard evaluations, incident investigations, and management of change. Participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
  • Supports turnaround/outage execution. May review turnaround planning, including scope development and post-event evaluations
  • Maintains and updates process documentation. Troubleshoots and maintains unit mass balance within tolerance.
