Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer I to optimize productivity and sustainability in battery production.

You will apply technical expertise to ensure stable mass production quality and drive PD improvements through recipe settings, process capability, and defect reduction. In this fast-paced manufacturing role, you will collaborate with engineers and operators, develop SOPs, train floor staff, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent.
• Must be available to work weekend/night shifts based on team’s needs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze productivity, yield and overall equipment efficiency (OEE) of assigned process and department.
• Work with engineers and operators to troubleshoot machines to ensure highest yield and OEE.
• Analyze Quality issues to provide corrective actions.
• Improve production processes by creating various SOPs and train operators to ensure understanding and correct implementation to floor.
• Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations.
• Spec. optimization and process conditions establishment.
• PFD: process flow diagram, PFMEA: process failure mode and effects analysis, CP: control plan
• Chronic defect improvement activities
• Production/development model dissemination and 4M change verification
• Conduct internal and customer audits
• Non-conformance report handling and improvement
• Response to internal/external quality issues for the customer
• Establishment and revision of PFD, PF Manual
• Perform other duties as assigned
