Job summary

Chlorum is seeking a Process Engineer to support plant operations through engineering analysis, process improvement, and capital project activities that enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, and production performance at our Kentucky facility.

The role works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement while supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations and engineering documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Five years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate with operations and leadership teams.
• Detail-oriented with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Support plant operations through engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Assist with capital projects, facility modifications, and equipment upgrades.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to increase safety, efficiency, quality, and reliability.
• Develop engineering documentation, procedures, specifications, and project plans.
• Coordinate engineering activities with Operations, Maintenance, contractors, and vendors.
• Support process optimization, equipment selection, and facility layout improvements.
• Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress to ensure successful project execution.
• Support Process Safety Management (PSM), environmental compliance, and plant safety initiatives.
• Maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and technical records.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
• Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
